Storm Karl hits Mexico

A rare duo of powerful hurricanes roiled waters far out in the Atlantic as Tropical Storm Karl smashed into Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula on Wednesday. For the first time in more than a decade, two potent Atlantic storms were churning at the same time, weather forecasters said, although they posed no immediate threat to land.
